Cincinnati Amateur Hockey Assocation - Ages & Levels
The following contains basic Descriptions of the levels of hockey at CAHA (Cincinnati Amateur Hockey Association). Your child should start at the level of his or her abilities. Use the flyouts for mor information on each level.
1. The Learn to Play Hockey program (ages 4-17).
2. House Program (ages 6-12). This program is a recreational program open to boys and girls.
3. Travel Hockey (ages 6-18). This program is for competitive hockey players for boys and girls.
4. Girls Hockey (ages 6-19) The Girls Hockey program has a house level and a travel level.
5. Midget Hockey (Varsity) (ages 15-18) Skaters will be placed on teams for their high school.
6. Bantam Hockey Teams (JV) (ages 13-15) Skaters will be placed on teams for their Junior High.
7. Spring Hockey
In the house and travel program, skaters are separated by birthdate. Ages are as of 12/31 of the current year.
The Mite League is for skaters 8 and under who have basic skating ability.
The Squirt League is for skaters ages 9 or 10.
The PeeWee League is for skaters ages 11 or 12.
The Bantam League is for skaters ages 13 or 14.
The Midget League is for skaters ages 15-18.
